National Furniture Furniture Care & Warranty Information
Investing in high-quality furniture from National Furniture means ensuring that it remains a part of your life for many years.
Every piece of furniture we create is designed for durability. Hence, using care products to maintain the leather's suppleness, keep the timber conditioned, and the fabric stain-free is essential.

Leather Care
Leather, a natural material, is renowned for its beauty and longevity. With proper maintenance, leather outlasts most other materials. A range of products, including leather protectors and extended warranties, can aid in its upkeep.
For detailed care instructions for your Leather product, refer to our Leather Care guide.
- Regularly wipe over leather with a damp, soft cloth.
- Keep the leather clean by dusting and vacuuming, ensuring all gaps between cushions are dirt-free to avoid scratches.
- Condition the leather every 3-4 months with a leather conditioning product, paying special attention to areas exposed to bare skin, hair, or clothing.
- Keep leather away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Use only genuine leather cleaning products, avoid household cleaners.
- Clean spills immediately by gently blotting with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. If staining occurs, consult a professional upholstery cleaning company.
- Keep sharp or abrasive objects, including pets, away from the leather.
IMPORTANT: Leather can be damaged by various chemicals and fluids, including hairspray, deodorants, skin care products, and human bodily fluids. To avoid these issues, regularly clean and condition your lounge, and use throws or blankets to cover areas of high exposure.
Damages caused by such chemicals/fluids are not covered under warranty. Proper care is crucial as failure to do so will void any warranty.
Lounge Care
Your new lounge requires care to maintain its comfort and aesthetic appeal over the years. Seat foam softening over the first few months of use is normal and expected.
For detailed care instructions for your lounge, refer to our Lounge Care guide.
DO's:
- Rotate/reverse/flip seating cushions regularly for even wear.
- Use fabric or leather protection to facilitate easier cleaning.
- Use appropriate cleaning products to keep your lounge fresh.
DON'Ts:
- Avoid placing your lounge in direct sunlight.
- Do not machine wash your covers, always use a professional cleaning service.
- Do not pull loose threads – cut them instead.
- Avoid pets or sharp objects near your lounge.
- Do not sit or rest on the arms of a chair or lounge.
IMPORTANT: Recliner mechanisms are subject to wear and tear. Avoid excessive use or rough maneuvers. Leg rests, when extended, are not designed to support excessive weight. Children should not play on motion sofas and armchairs.
Recliner mechanisms have a 3-year warranty on the structure, excluding moving parts, which have a 1-year warranty.
Feather Cushion Care
Plump the feather cushions regularly to ensure the sofa looks full and comfortable. It's common for feathers to occasionally escape from the cushions - this is normal and can be managed with regular vacuuming.
Failure to care for your product correctly will void any warranty.
